How to open SnapStackPaste when macOS shows Unidentified Developer — Open Anyway in Privacy & Security

Common macOS messages

"Unidentified Developer"

macOS blocked SnapStackPaste because it is not from the Mac App Store. Use right-click → Open or Open Anyway in System Settings.

"App is damaged and can't be opened"

This usually means Gatekeeper quarantined the download — the app is not corrupted. Right-click → Open or use Open Anyway in Privacy & Security.

"Apple could not verify..."

Same protection as Unidentified Developer. Approve SnapStackPaste once with either method below.

Method 1 — Right-click → Open

  1. In Finder, open Applications and locate SnapStackPaste
  2. Right-click the app icon
  3. Choose Open from the menu
  4. Click Open in the confirmation dialog
  5. SnapStackPaste launches normally — you only approve once

Method 2 — Privacy & Security → Open Anyway

  1. Try to open SnapStackPaste once (macOS records the block)
  2. Open System Settings
  3. Go to Privacy & Security
  4. Scroll to Security and click Open Anyway next to SnapStackPaste
  5. Open SnapStackPaste again — it will launch normally

You only need to do this once.
